Boyd/Elinora Sidewalk Project

This Federally Funded Safe Routes To School project included new ADA compliant concrete sidewalks on Boyd Road and Elinora Drive providing safe access to local schools and community centers.  The improvements consisted of a concrete sidewalk, bio-retention areas, pervious concrete sidewalks, ADA compliant curb ramps, new curb and gutter, enhanced crosswalks, drainage improvements, striping and signing.

LCC performed topographic and boundary surveys and civil engineering services including mapping and preparation of construction documents for the project.  LCC also prepared a Caltrans PS&E Submittal for E-76 for this project.  LCC worked with a Traffic sub-consultant to determine the appropriate placement of enhanced crosswalks and solar powered speed feedback signs, and prepared hydraulic and hydrology calculations to design appropriate c.3 and drainage features to comply with the City and County’s Stormwater and Floodplain Management Requirements.
